Photos from the Land Cruiser adventure
On the way to Death Valley. After putting in my extra rear leaf springs there's no significant rear sag even when fully loaded.

In Saline Valley- part of Death Valley. Exploring a canyon on the West side of the valley. There's actually waterfalls up these canyons in the desert.
Getting started - first full day in Baja California.
On the Sea of Cortez side of Baja California. This "road" is under water during high tide. The only access road to a small beach resort around the bend.
On the beach at Scorpion Bay. No problem driving in the sand with the 12x35" BFG-AT tires.
Which way do we go? Map reading and figuring out where we were was an ongoing project. A GPS and some more detailed maps would have helped a lot.
Last day in Baja after a long trip and lots of driving.
The cactus were are around and incredibly huge!
February 2005.
Here I am in my first picture with my Cruiser. Returning from LA on my first roadtrip. I was a little worried about taking it out on such a long roadtrip since I had only bought it two days before leaving. But everything went very well with no snags. I was hoping for a little better gas milage- but what was I expecting?
